The liebster award || Helping small bloggers shine.

Hello BloggerBeans,
I have been nominated by the wonderful Bloggerella for the Liebster award and I feel quite humbled for even being considered. Thank you very much Bloggerella for putting a huge smile on my face :)

The liebster award was created so blogs that are under 200 followers are given a chance to shine and show to the blogging community that there blog deserves recognition. Along with being nominated you must answer a set of questions that the person who nominated you has asked you. So lets begin!

1. How did you get your blog name?
My blog name used to be 'Mistakes to learn by' and I originally got this as I was going to write about relatable stuff and how you can avoid my foolish life mistakes. However as the months went by I felt my content was becoming limited because my blogging name was restricted me so I sat down and came up with 'splash of hidden happiness' by getting a bunch of words to do with what content I wanted to put on my blog and how I wanted my blog to feel and 'splash of hidden happiness' was born! Originally my idea was to call my blog 'Splash of hidden sunshine' but it was taken however I feel like the name I have now suites it more.

2. Best and worst present?
The best present I have ever received has to be a scrapbook that two of my best friends (Sian and Katie) made for me for my birthday last year. They had personalised it, taken secret pictures which they had then put in and on some they had even attempted to photo shop pictures with hilarious captions which just thinking about them makes me smile. It always makes me happy and I always look at it if I'm feeling upset or need cheering up.

My worst present is incredibly random! I was around 7 when this happened with it being Christmas as well. I think the present must of got mixed up with someone else's but somehow I ended up getting a chopping board which did make me very disappointed however being the creative 7 year old I was I found a use for it by putting it on my head and running round the living room with it... My parents must of discretely swapped the presents as after having a few brief moments with it I never found or saw it again.

3. Chocolate, vanilla or strawberry?
I have never been a strawberry lover so it has to be a combination if chocolate and vanilla. Compromising is not an option when it comes to ice-cream flavours!

4. If you could go back in time, where and when would it be?
I would love to go back to just before the internet was invented and experience life without technology and how different life was before, as even though the internet was an amazing breakthrough in technology, life is not the same. It's scary to think that my generation was the last to experience having no internet. It makes me sad to think that when I was around 9 I was on my bike going outside and to see if my friends were in, I had to physically go to someone's house . Kids these days have smartphones and tablets which is not the same as the childhood I experienced. I miss the good old days.

5. Do you have a middle name/names?
I do! My middle name is Louise and I sometimes like to think it might of been my destiny to have my middle name as Louise so I could have something in common with one of my favourite you tubers - Louise Pentland

6. what's your favourite colour?
My favourite colour is mainly Lilac however I sometimes fleet between sky blue, Navy blue and sometimes gold.

7. Winter or summer?
Can I pick both? They are both my favourite!

8. Live a life without YouTube or blogger?
Why would you make me choose between both! That is so unfair and a very BIG decision! I couldn't live without blogging as it is a way of letting my creativity run wild and make an indent in society and making my voice heard.

9. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Ignorant people hands down.

10. Favourite book
All time: Cathy Cassidy's Lucky Star.
At the moment: The shock of the fall

11. Your favourite subject at school and why?
Drama. It allows me to let out my creative spark and become someone else for a little while which is a lot of fun.

*bonus question* - Do you watch anime, sub or dub?
Nope but they sound pretty cool.

Lastly I nominate the following blogs who I feel should deserve recognition for their hard work:

The questions that I want you guys to answer are:

1. What was your inspiration for starting your blog?
2. What inspires you?
3. Any hidden or secret talents?
4. Early bird or night owl?
5. What at the moment is your favourite song to listen to?
6. What would be your ideal job?
7. If you could have a superpower what would it be?
8. What was the last thing you brought?
9. What are your ambitions for this year?
10. Favourite life motto to live by?

That's it for todays post! Make sure to head back on Monday for the last of Book review Monday as I have finally finished Girl online at long last!

See you soon x

  1. Wow, we actually have so much in common! I know what you mean by the internet thing, just the other day, I saw a 5 year old playing on a drawing game on an ipad. Is there anything they wont technology-fy?! When I was 5, I had crayons and paper, and if not that, the wall! One of my middle name is also Louise! My other is Susan :/

    1. People use technology a little too much these days. I think you should sometimes have an internet detox. My Laptop at the moment isn't connecting to the internet so I have gone without 3 weeks of using it. (I'm using my dads atm) I remember one time when the wifi box was broken. It really opened my eyes up to how much we rely on technology. x
