March Essentials 2016
10:00 am
Hello Bloggerbeans,
March is finally upon us and has to be one of my favourite months apart from July and August due to being summer. This month for me is extremely busy filled with Touring schools for our Theatre for children pieces, pre birthday celebrations with my girlfriend, seeing family in Southend, my birthday (Oh yeah!), Easter and pet sitting. What a big list! With all you guys really enjoying my January essentials post I thought what better than to start this month with a March Essentials post full of all the things that I will be wearing, reading and enjoying this month. Its filled with an array of items which hopefully may give you inspiration of things to try going into a fresh new month. Lets go!
My Canon 1200D Camera - When it comes to technology it takes me a little while to adjust so when I got my new camera and couldn't do the most basic things such as taking a picture with it being in focus (for a whole month I must add...) I felt a little like a plonker. However over the last month I have slowly been getting used to it and finally after 2 months since owning it can now say finally that the picture above was taken with my new camera! The quality of the pictures I can now take with my new camera is amazing and am so glad I purchased it. It is now like my second limb and I definitely plan on capturing as many non blurry faced pictures of 2016 as I can, wish me luck! I may even feature them here time to time when I can.
This months book Recommendation: 'It's Kind Of a Funny Story' by Ned Vizzini - I was recommended this book by various friends last year and have only got round to picking it up to read and decided March would be the month I would delve into the world of Craig Gilner and how getting into the elite executive pre professional High school in Manhattan leads him to nearly taking his own life and being admitted into a psychiatric ward with a bunch of different complex characters all with their own reasons for being there and their issues. I am thoroughly looking forward to reviewing this book in the next couple of weeks here as from reading the first chapter I don't want to stop reading or for it to end however am trying to block out the fact that this is in fact going to happen...
Clothing Item: Over sized T shirt - Stylish yet the most comfortable thing to wear. When it comes to fashion in general I like to be comfy in what I wear yet look my best and this is the best alternative. Partnered with Jeans, Boots and a cardigan it is a perfect outfit to transition from winter into Spring which I will wearing quite a bit this month. I got this top from New look back in January which is now in the sale HERE
Makeup must have: Recently I have moved from my Makeup revolution palettes to the Maybelline 'The Nudes' palette which I was kindly given for Christmas and have fallen in love with both the matte and shimmer shades. I mentioned this palette in my Valentines Day OOTD and Makeup where I used the dark gold shimmer shade however have been preferring a light matte brown for my eyelids at the moment. Maybelline recently brought out a Eyeshadow palette with 'blush' shades with pink spring shades which I feel I may have to purchase as the eye shadow colours are incredibly coloured and 'The Nude' Palette is highly pigmentation.
Statement necklaces and wide brimmed hats - With spring in reaching distance and the sun beginning to come back I am looking forward to trying to style more with accessories such as hats and necklaces. With the cold spring sun starting to peep through this month a large brim hat is perfect to keep the sun out of your eyes yet still keep your head warm while its still cold outside. Paired with an eye catching necklace which can dress up any simple and plain top. The hat in the picture above is from 'H and M' and the statement necklace is from Primark with similar designs still available.
Music: This month I plan on listening to more of Ellie Goulding as I am yet to catch up on her latest album and back before she was less known, was an avid follower however haven't listened to her music in a while. One of her singles 'Army' has become one of my favourite songs at the moment and unlike most songs is not about love and is instead about Ellie's best friend which I admire and makes the song more unique. I have found myself always secretly dedicate it to my best friend Katie every time I listen to it as being my best friend she means the world to me. There's so much she does for me and I could never thank her enough. I am actually listening to it while I write this which just shows how much I am in love with the song. 'When I am with you Katie I am standing with an army' and feel on top of the world with happiness. Love you my pal!
.
I hope you enjoyed all of the things I plan on enjoying this Month. Be sure to tell me down in the comments how you get on if you try anything I mentioned in this post. Until next time,
