My May Favourites
7:19 pm
Hello Bloggerbeans,
June is here with warm and sunny weather (most of the time.) We are now halfway through the year which is a tad scary as it has gone in a flash! Here are a few things that I enjoyed this May:
Skater Skirts - Being able to wear my own clothes to school has meant that I have been able to wear some of my Skater Skirts which I own, especially when it was sunny. My love for Skater skirts has definitely come from Louise Pentland (A.K.A Sprinkleofglitter) and has snowballed into me now owning 6 in total. I love the fact you can dress them up or down depending on the occasion. There's just something about wearing a skirt which makes me feel very swish, graceful and important (even though I am the complete opposite of all those things!)
All The Bright Places - During the month of May I managed to read a few books including Carrie's book 'All I Know Now' and Gayle Forman's If I stay and Where she Went however the main one which stood out for me was All The Bright Places. The plot was beautifully written with both characters becoming dear to my heart until the very end. If you like The fault in Our stars then you will definitely like this. If you want to know more then you will have to wait until Book Review Monday which will happen every Monday in July hopefully.
Necklaces - I have a thing for long statement necklaces and have been trying to wear them as much as I can. My favourite one at the moment has to be the Julienne necklace which featured in my 'Spring Avon Haul' and goes with all my skirt outfit combos. I love the fact it is a key and have had many people ask me 'is it the key to Narnia?' jokingly which i have replied with 'Unfortunately no. It's actually the key to the Tardis'. In truth it isn't a key to anything but it would be pretty cool if it was the Tardis key *sighs forever wanting to be a companion on Dr Who*
Fall Out Boy's album 'American Beauty/ American Psycho' - It's no secret that Fall Out Boy are one of my favorite band and their new album is just too much for me to handle. Every song is like liquid gold as Patrick's voice sings into your ears. Their album is the type that every single song on there is uniquely different yet each one being creative pieces of work worthy of success as every one is as good as the next.
Fox Socks - I love cute socks and I am a big lover of animal socks so when I saw these Fox socks in Primark I knew they were going to be my impulse buy. This is actually my second pack of them which says a lot about me as I ended up snagging one of them and making a hole in on of them. Anyway, Who says you can't have too many socks?
Big Hero 6 - Last month, Big Hero 6 was released on DVD and both my friends Katie and Sian already brought it. As you can tell by the picture above, I'm yet to own it as I am a little broke however once I can afford it, I will be buying it so I can have it on DVD all to myself. I went to see it when it came out in cinemas and the movie itself was amazing with music from Fall Out boy and in the U.k version, a brief cameo of Dan and Phil (Danisnotonfire and Amazingphil). What more do you need? Tomorrow I am going over to Katie's just so we can watch it together again as it was that awesome.
I hope you enjoyed looking at all my favorites from May. Today was a little wierd for me as I now I have left, I only need to come in for the exams I haven't done and all the lessons I haven't had an exam in yet which means I didn't have to go in till 11:20. It was nice to have a more relaxed timetable with the added bonus of a lie in. Good luck for any of you guys taking exams in the coming weeks whether that is the real thing or just mocks, You will do awesome I promise! :)
For now though,
Toodlepip x
