Dip Dying Your hair may take a very long while #2

Hello Bloggerbeans,
I dip dyed my hair again! You may remember last year when I wrote a post called 'Dip dying your hair may take a while...'. and as its been just over a year since that was uploaded, I thought that I would dip dye it again. Unlike before when I dip dyed my hair pink, I decided to go for a dark purple as I wanted to make sure that it would go with my prom dress as my dip dye should be slightly faded by then with the purple being very subtle. Again just like last time my dip dye has been inspired by the one and only Louise Pentland however I think the purple suites me better than the pink I went for last year.
Dip dying my hair was such fun however it didn't exactly go to plan like last time... You see, I decided that I would go for the lighter shade of the two purples in the shop, this being lilac as from past experiences, darker colours come out quite vibrant in my hair. It wasn't until Sian had applied the dip dye and we had washed it out that we discovered that it had not done a very good job. Instead of my hair being light purple it had turned a slightly muddy grey/brown with a smudge of purple!
With the lighter shade in.
I was mortified! This was NOT what I had expected so had to go back into town to buy the darker shade of purple which was violet and return home and repeat the process all over again! Sian and I prayed that this time it would actually turn purple and luckily it turned out all okay in the end.
TADA! (With the darker shade in)
I am really happy with how it turned out and I really hope I can dip dye it more colours during the Summer however I need to check first with my college to see if they will allow it. It makes me really happy that I can finally express myself through my hair without school rules bombarding me telling me that my hair colour is going to affect my learning.
Thank you Sian for your wonderful help and for helping to re dye it when it didn't go exactly to plan, I really did appreciate it.
You should always feel like you can express yourself as that's a big part in letting other know who you are and what you stand for <3
Goodbye my friends x
