So Chummies,

The day came last Tuesday which I was dreading, sports day. I turned up to school feeling with dread as I self consciously walked down the corridor in my shorts which are VERY short which ride up round my thighs when I walk (a nightmare when I am running!). Our school PE kit isn't the nicest however I did get away with wearing a cardigan to hide my elbows which are a little weird (I know I should try embrace it!). Anyways 12 o'clock came and I made my way to the school field with my Specialcorn friend Katie who like me isn't a fan of having to sit on a field watching people run. I braced myself as i went over to do my first event, discus.

Discus I think is the one thing that I can actually do well. It's only throwing a disc shape plate across the field and seeing how far it can go. I was pretty confident even though I hadn't done any practice in PE lessons beforehand and kind of remembered how to throw it probably. So with hardly any effort I just threw it hoping for the best. The discus went 11m! now that made me happy and I had no clue how someone who absolutely hates sports and doing events came second.

I was practically buzzing after that and even missed out on having to do the 100m as the discus event took so long *smug face*. All I wanted to do was get my medal and go home! However this all was going to change as I realized that I still had to do the 300m. Lets just tell you that after that everything went down hill. I started to panic as I realized that I was going to be humiliated in front of the whole school as I cannot run. I was really panicking and as the starting gun fired I could feel my face going bright red. I came in last and had to hold onto my shorts because of the short problem. I was so upset and felt so angry that I just had to do that in front of everyone. It also didn't help with 3 people saying they would run with me when in fact they just ran on ahead of me. After that I decided that the best option was to get ice creams from the ice cream truck for Katie and I after what had just happened. While waiting for the ice creams I did learn one thing; patience is the key to being happy! I waited for over half an hour to get them as the queue was really big and when I got too the front I ordered the biggest ice creams I could to cheer us up as Katie had to do relay which she did not want to do as she felt humiliated as well.

But what about my medal? Did I ever get it? Of course I did! After waiting forever for my name to be called I went to collect my medal. And the best part? That had to be the look on my PE teachers face. Ever since year 7 she has never really liked me as I am rubbish at sport and always do things wrong (I'm sorry if I cant remember the set plays for netball!) and has always been a little bit of a bully towards me but she can't put me down anymore as I won something!

My last ever sports day and I actually won something. Now that is something that I am proud of.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Now I have only 2 mock exams left I will be uploading my blog posts more frequently every Friday and Tuesday like before.

Hello everyone,

So the day is vast approaching when the whole school gathers on the field to watch people do track events such as running *gasps of terror*. I would not count myself as a person who is very sporty (very much the opposite) so when this day comes ever year I always dread it with all my heart and this year will be no different. However once upon a time this Teenage Blogger absolutely loved running and even put herself down for the 1500m in year 7 and 800m in year 8. But what really has started to bug me is the fact that every year the popular girls all say they are going to turn up for the events but don't so the reserve (most of the time being me) has to do their events instead while they stand around and eat ice creams. We have an ice cream truck come to our field (lucky us!) which is the only decent part of sports day but how is that fair?

This year will be no different and this is why I have refused to do any running events. I have done more than any other person in my class and my enemy, the one I tried to keep the peace with, has decided to put me down for 2 running events! I should just be the better person and probably just let the popular girls get away with it but it is hardly right to put me down for track events especially when on the weekend  before I have my D of E expedition and have to walk 12 hours over 2 days! I am going to be tired with all my bones aching. I just don't understand why other people can't do it. Anyways lets not dwell on the negatives as I will end up probably end up doing it anyway with my sore blistered feet. Well that's just the kind person I am *Sighs frustratingly*

My summer plans... stay tuned!
