With August nearly over I thought it would be a good idea to look back on all the things I have been loving this month.

Collection Concealer - This has been my go to concealer this Summer and after hearing numerous reviews and hype about it I thought I would try it out for my self. It really helps to highlight under my eyes to give my under eyes the boost they need.

Hair scrunchies - With the hot weather I have been more inclined to having my hair up and wearing hair scrunchies makes it look like a fancy ponytail when its just a boring ponytail in disguise :)

Pinterest - Oh hai Pinterest, Possibly the most aesthetically pleasing website EVER. If you're not already following me on it then you are seriously missing out on my many Pinterest boards consisting of Home, Hair, Quote, Wedding and Travel inspiration along with many others. Skull candy headphones - Recently my old Skull candy headphones broke which made me very sad indeed as I can't sleep without my nightly dose of ASMR. From past experience Skull candy make incredible in ear headphones with the most in depth base I have ever experienced. As I like Skull Candy's headphones I decided to invest in the next range up which were slightly more expensive than my first pair which broke and I am astounded by the quality. When listening to YouTube videos I can hear every single noise from the audio and it makes a huge difference to bassy songs which before I wasn't picking up. I am now enjoying listening to songs in new ways I haven't been able to before all thanks to the superb bass. (HERE are the ones I brought)

Comforter Bubble Bar - Lush Baths in general have been my favourite thing this month but I have been enjoying the Comforter Bubble Bar for two main reasons. 1. It smells like Ribena which takes me instantly back to my childhood full of sunny trampoline play days and 2. The fact that it is NOT a seasonal product meaning I can stock up on it all year round. Inside out - This is the first out of two Movies I loved this month. Inside Out is about a girl named Riley and the emotions inside her head; Joy, Anger, Sadness, Disgust and Fear who all live inside headquarters in Riley's mind and help to control her Memory Islands. Everything is fine with Joy taking care of all the memories until one day Riley moves house into a new city leaving all her friends behind and starts at a new school. Things from here on in become pair shaped as less Joy memories are being made than usual with Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness taking over. When joy tries to sort things out and confronts sadness they end up getting sucked up the memory tube and land in the memory Library. This is bad news as headquarters is now missing two main emotions with it being a race against time to get Sadness and Joy back to headquarters and help save Riley's Memory Islands which are breaking due to the absence of Joy and Sadness. This is a Movie which tells kids it's okay to be sad sometimes as you can't have Joy without sadness and all the other emotions which I think is such an important message

Papertowns - The second Movie in my August favourites is a Book adaptation of Papertowns by John Green. John is one of my favourite authors with The Fault in our stars one of my favourite books of all time however I wasn't a big fan of his book Looking For Alaska so I wasn't quite sure if I would like Papertowns and to my surprise I genuinely loved it. I loved the whole concept of what Papertowns are (click HERE to a link to a vlogbrothers video where John Green explains what it is) and the whole concept that it is important to try and think as people as three dimensional people with thoughts and feelings and not just one preconception like Quentin thinks Margo is. The Film is very Different to the book however Both are amazing. Papertowns is in cinema's now so be sure to go check it out!

Dodie's song - One for The Road - Dodie is one of my favourite peeps and makes awesome covers of songs with her fabulous voice and Ukulele. Her new song One For The Road is all about a really crappy relationship which ended badly and drawing a line under everything. Personally I love this song for Dodie's strong message that you need to love and care for yourself before you go into a relationship and you should always be true to who you are.

Today I received my exam results!

Results:

Drama - A*
Music - B
English Literature - A
English Language - B
Core Science - B
Double Science - B
Maths - B
Spanish - C
Child Development - C

I am really proud of myself and I am so shocked I got an A* in Drama! Getting my results has really re-assured me for the future as I passed everything and even got a grade higher in some subjects I wouldn't of expected like Spanish and Child Development. All those last minute Revision sessions and preparation really helped and I can't wait to start at my college as I have the grades I need to get on to it.

How did Results day go for all you Bloggerbeans? Remember that if you got the results that you got then go celebrate that you did so well but if you didn't get what you were hoping for there are still ways to get you to where you want to be career wise however it may take a little longer. *Internet hugs sent!*

The YouTube awards was the highlight of my night with Nikki and Sammy presenting. My favourite moments had to be when Dan and Phil received their silver 100,000 subscriber play button for Dan and Phil crafts and Dan thanking all the Crafties out there and when Emma Blackery sassed everyone for them to turn around for the big 'Oscar' style picture.

I loved SITC so much that I have decided to go for the whole weekend next year so I can get the most out of everything.

It feels like a very long time since I did a Makeup Monday post and recently I have brought a couple of new Makeup Products which were recommended to me by friends and various Youtubers so decided to invest and see if these products could work their magic on me! One of my latest purchases included the L'oreal True Match Powder in their lightest shade of Rose Ivory which I have been absolutely loving.

Recently with the hot(ish) weather my makeup has been falling off my face making it turn into a shiny mess meaning I needed something to mattify and help keep my makeup in tact which this powder does so well. I love the fact that it has a secret compartment mirror underneath the product making it easy to apply when in a hurry or when you're out and about.

The only little negative thing I have to say is after the 2nd or 3rd application in the day it is important to make sure to work the powder in around your nose, chin and forehead as it tends to cake around those areas however if attention is paid to those areas it is overall a good product to keep your face looking flawless this summer.

What I'm listening to - One For The Road by Dodie Clark

We all have our morning Jams which we listen to while getting ready and help to get us in a good mood including Myself. There's just something about putting on a feel good song to help kick-start the day and I myself am no different. I thought Today I would share and recommend you my  favourite 'get ready' songs which always set me up for a good day.



Should've Been us By Tori Kelly -  I Discovered Tori's Music through Miranda Sings video where Colleen as Miranda pretends to be Tori's Voice coach and gets her to play the acoustic version of this song. The minute I heard her play I fell in love with her voice and the song in general.

Black Magic By Little Mix - I wasn't a huge fan of this song until I started listening to it with my Chummy on the way to London to meet Louise Pentland when I instantly became hooked!

Shake it Off By Taylor Swift - I have been Jamming to this since Last september when it came out and it still is one of my favourite songs. the song itself has such a positive message about not caring what other think and to find your own beat to dance to that makes you happy

Love Is On The Radio By Mcfly - This quirky little song never fails to make me smile. I love the instrumentation and the fact that the piece has a violin playing makes it truly unique.

I Really Like You By Carly Rae Jepson  - This song just wants me to dance around my room when I play it! The chorus is extremely catchy and is perfect pick me up to play while your choosing what to wear for the day ahead.

Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson Ft. Bruno Mars - Possibly the song I listen to and just sing all the way through without actually getting anything done... Thanks to Louise Pentland featuring this in many of her vlogs, it has become my Confidence song I play through my headphones when walking places which makes me feel like i'm in a movie and its the soundtrack part where music is playing in the background. Is that just me who does that? As I sure hell enjoy doing it even if I do look weird while doing it!

 

Crazy By Gnarls Barckley and American Boy By Estelle - Last but not least is two of my favourite Chilled back songs I like to listen to while applying my Makeup

The Body Shop Lip Butter*

After exfoliating and getting rid of all your dead skin cells you need to make sure to hydrate your lips which The Body Shop Lip Butter does so well. I usually apply as part of my night time routine so while I get my precious beauty sleep, my lips are getting the TLC the deserve meaning when I apply my lipstick in the morning it glides on and stays on my lips instead of coming off!

Chapstick In Apple Flavour

Lastly you need to maintain your ultra soft lips. Before Lipstick Application I always use my trusty chap-stick. It is a handy everyday essential as it gives you that added layer of protection on your lips giving you the re-assurance that your lips will look fabulous all day long. I got my chap stick as part of a set of three which all having nourishing qualities.

Using these products has made a huge difference to the appearance of my lips and makes them feel silky smooth after every application.

I am now ready for Autumn with my college Brogues, Rain-mac and flask to keep me going in the coming months.
