Day in the life || Prom

10:28 pm

Hello BloggerBeans,
I know I didn't post last week however life matters got in the way. For a start I had my college induction day and had so much fun with all the people of my course who love drama just as much as I do however I do have a good reason why I haven't posted as I was getting ready for something which you can probably tell by the title of this blog post.

Okay, so this happened yesterday...

Tada! I am so happy with the way everything turned out and I feel like it was a day to remember. On the day I had my haired curled and also painted my nails which turned out a gorgeous sparkly purple. I went to prom with Sian and Katie who can be seen in photos down below along with my friend Lauren.

Sian took me from my house to Katie's where we were then going to be driven in a Mustang to prom however things didn't go according to plan. The person who owned the car lost the keys so we ended up going to prom in Katie's mum's car which had a lot more room. It was a shame that we didn't go in the mustang but at least we were on our way to prom in the end! We ended up arriving nearly an hour late so missed having 'arrival photos' taken along with our year group photo however I kind of enjoyed not having the attention on me as 'Arriving' was for me the part which filled me with the most anxiety. After we had slipped in unnoticed into the venue and without a scene we talked with a few of our other friends and then sat down at a table for something to eat.

The table arrangement was so pretty!

We ate lots of scrumptious food including the most amazing tasting brownies I have ever tasted. I realized quite early on how uncomfortable my heels were going to be making me vow to never where them again (Even though I know I will and break this vow!) as I attempted to walk outside to sit down and talk about a number of things until we decided to go back in and queue up for the photo booth. There were so many props to choose from that we eventually chose some fancy masquerade masks and headed into the booth where we pulled the most ridiculous faces which don't look too bad looking at them now. It makes me happy to know that on that night we didn't care how we looked and just went for it. I'm proud of my amigo chums and feel proud in knowing that I will always have them around in the future to have more amazing times with.

We then just sat and talked, took some photos to remind us of the night and then remained outside until the Macarana came on and I proceeded to drag everyone on our table up to dance where we remained for the evening dancing like wild children taking breaks in between to rest, take our high heels/contraptions off our feet and compose ourselves. I am so happy that they played old songs and not just new ones. I sang my heart out at all the old songs and even danced like 11 (The Doctor) with Katie. After all our manic and fun dancing we went outside for the final part of the night which was fireworks. I wasn't expecting much from our school as out budget as stretched but I was quite surprised by it all as they turned out to be very stunning in the dark.

The fireworks at the end of the night

Prom was quite possibly the best night of my life and I wish all the people in my year group the best going into the future. This is the end of a huge chapter in my life which I'm glad to be leaving and moving on from as I turn towards a new chapter of my life of being a more accepting person of myself and others and discovering what life has to offer.
